What I Do

As a terminal engineer, I look after key preventive maintenance of tanks and valves, internal cleaning of tanks and box-up. I also take care of the pipeline and instrument diagrams, tank truck inspection and calibration , tank wagon loading..

A day in my life

After waking at 06.00 am, I work out for a bit and plan for the day based on activities from the previous day. Work begins at 08.30 and involves consulting with my superiors. I take stock of all the goings-on at the terminal and work on the safety aspects and SOPs involved. If time permits, I contribute to extra tasks if required and permitted by my superiors. After a handover of tasks, it’s a wrap at 6:30 PM.

Out of office

I love Indoor games like carrom and chess. Badminton is something I enjoy too. My peers and I try to catch up on a movie on weekends. I also spend some quality time reading books from my field of work and interest. Consumption of mainstream media helps update my general awareness.

What I love about working with IOT?

IOT has an open culture when it comes to seeking help and communicating with seniors and peers. I can do and learn several work-related things of interest, whether or not directly linked to my profile. This gives employees the opportunity to reinvent themselves, learn and improve. Our superiors too place their faith in subordinates, and the availability of opportunities gives us the chance to bring out the best we can offer.
