What I Do
As a part of Head-office based Projects team, my job essentially involves tracking the progress of various projects in terms of physical work done, schedule compliance, project budgets and receivables. It also entails outstation visits to meet clients and on-site project teams. Besides this, I also contribute towards due diligence of upcoming projects by sharing my experiences with the Marketing team..
A day in my life
A typical day in Mumbai starts with getting my daughter ready for school. By 8:30 AM, I am at my desk, catching up with e-mails and messages. As the day progresses, I attend more meetings, conference calls, phone calls with various project teams. Once back home, it is time for family dinner and watching my favorite TV soaps.
Out of office
I keep myself updated about the latest happenings on various fronts, like the cultural events happening in Mumbai, my daughter's academic pursuits, Governmental policies mainly pertaining to the infrastructure sector. I also love to travel, and hence read a lot about places of historical and cultural importance. I then plan to visit these with my family.
What I love about working with IOT?
IOT, I feel has the right mix of strong parentage and technical wherewithal to participate in the story of India's Infra-development, be it on the domestic front or at offshore locations. IOT's management is also very positive about being a part of this story, and that gives me further hopes and opportunities to participate in the creation of physical assets of strategic importance.
